Fatehpur
Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri is located approximately an hour west of Agra and is a
popular side trip. This now deserted city was once the proud capital of the
Mughal Empire in the 16th century, and is one of India's top historical
destinations. It was abandoned by its occupants after only 15 years due to
insufficient water supply.
